Reading Students' Union (Reading SU) is seeking a Director of Finance to join its senior leadership team and drive financial strategy across charitable and commercial operations.

You will oversee budgeting, forecasting, reporting and controls, ensuring sustainability and informed decision-making. The role requires a fully qualified accountant and strong commercial awareness, with a focus on modernising systems and data-driven insights.

Qualificações

• Fully qualified accountant with strong financial management experience.
• Knowledge of the Charities SORP, restricted funds, statutory reporting, audit and financial governance.
• Comfortable operating at a senior strategic level and communicating with non-finance colleagues.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the Union's financial strategy, governance and financial operations.
• Oversee finance function including reporting, budgeting, forecasting and analysis.
• Maintain robust financial controls and ensure compliance with charity accounting requirements.
• Modernise financial systems, reporting and processes to improve efficiency and insight.

Formação

ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA or equivalent
