Job summary

South Gloucestershire and Stroud College seeks an outstanding Director of Finance to join the College Leadership Team in Bristol. You will shape the Finance Strategy, lead budgeting and forecasting, ensure robust financial health and governance, and manage a high-performing finance function.

The successful candidate will be a CCAB qualified accountant or equivalent with extensive experience in financial control, statutory accounts and reporting, and leadership of a professional finance team.

We are seeking an outstanding Director of Finance to join our College Leadership Team at an exciting point in the delivery of our SGS 2031: Get Future Ready strategy.

Reporting to the Deputy CEO & Chief Operations Officer, the postholder will lead the College's Finance Strategy, supporting sustainable financial planning and ensuring strong financial health, compliance and governance.

This is a key leadership role for a strategic and experienced finance professional who can provide effective financial planning, reporting and control while leading and developing a strong, service-focused finance function.

The successful candidate will be a CCAB qualified accountant or equivalent, with substantial experience of financial control, statutory accounts, budgeting, forecasting and leading a professional finance team.
