Ordnance Survey is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead central finance, financial operations and reporting, ensuring integrity and compliance while driving transformation of processes, systems and controls. You will head three finance teams, foster a high-performing culture, and partner with the Finance leadership to deliver robust financial information, audit readiness and governance.

Qualifications

• Requires recognised professional accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA or CIMA).
• Significant experience in senior financial control, group accounting or financial reporting within a complex organisation.
• Strong track record in leading and developing high-performing finance teams.
• Deep technical accounting expertise, statutory accounts, audits and compliance.
• Experience with finance systems, data governance, automation and digital transformation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Central Finance teams, creating a high-performing, inclusive and accountable culture.
• Own OS's financial control framework, ensuring policies, controls, governance and compliance.
• Oversee core accounting activities including month-end close, statutory reporting and external audits.
• Drive finance systems transformation and data governance, including Dynamics 365 Finance, automation and AI-enabled controls.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders and provide reliable financial information to support decision-making.
