Ordnance Survey seeks a Senior Management Accountant to lead the Management Accounts team within Central Finance, delivering high-quality monthly and quarterly reporting and driving continuous improvement. You will be responsible for controls, close processes and insightful reporting to support decision-making.

Based in Southampton with a hybrid working pattern, you will collaborate with FP&A, Finance Operations and business partners to build a modern, efficient finance function and develop our

Qualifications

• Has a recognised accountancy qualification (preferably CIMA, ACA, ACCA).
• Has significant experience leading sizeable finance teams.
• Has experience working in complex businesses and reporting environments.
• Brings a strong record of driving continuous improvement, automation and change within finance.
• Is an inspiring leader, committed to developing people and fostering collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Leadership and Team Development: Lead and develop the Management Accounts team with an accountable culture.
• Management Accounting and Reporting: Own monthly and quarterly reporting, ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Financial Controls and Governance: Oversee reconciliations, policies, and control weaknesses.
• Continuous Improvement and Transformation: Drive automation and standardisation of processes.
• Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships to support decision-making with high-quality reporting.
