Job summary

Reed in the United Kingdom is seeking a commercially focused Financial Controller to lead the finance function in a growing manufacturing business. This interim or permanent role reports to the Managing Director and offers real influence across the organisation.

You will deliver robust financial control, monthly management accounts, budgeting, forecasting and commercial modelling, while developing relationships with senior stakeholders and the finance team.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with senior finance experience.
• Experience in manufacturing or FMCG is advantageous but not essential.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge with commercial acumen.

Responsibilities

• Lead the finance function and ensure robust financial control.
• Produce monthly management accounts and provide meaningful financial insight.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and working capital.
• Support strategic decision-making through commercial analysis and financial modelling.
• Drive process improvements, reporting enhancements and operational efficiencies.
• Develop strong relationships with senior stakeholders and lead the finance team.
