Job summary

Reed is seeking a diligent Management Accountant to deliver accurate monthly management accounts and related commentary, ensuring robust financial controls to support decision making.

You will manage balance sheet reconciliations, assist with budgeting and forecasting, and provide insights for stakeholders while maintaining strong governance and process improvements. Office-based, permanent, full-time role in the UK.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Management Accountant position or similar finance role
• AAT qualified, part-qualified (ACCA/CIMA) or qualified by experience
• Strong month-end accounting experience
• Advanced Excel skills and confidence with financial systems
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with finance and non-finance stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and accompanying commentary
• Produce balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities
• Analyse financial performance and provide insight to key stakeholders
• Assist with month-end and year-end processes
• Maintain and improve financial controls and procedures
• Support cash flow reporting and forecasting
• Prepare KPI reports and management information packs
• Assist with audit requirements and statutory reporting
• Partner with operational teams to support commercial decision making
