Job summary

HM Treasury is seeking a Financial Reporting and Budgeting Accountant to support annual and in-year financial reporting, consolidation, and budget management across the department. The role offers varied exposure to policy teams, external auditors and central teams.

You will be a CCAB-registered accountant with strong analytical and communication skills, able to drive improvements in reporting processes and utilise Oracle consolidation. A flexible working pattern is available.

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant with a recognised CCAB body.
• Experience with financial reporting and budgeting in a central government environment preferred.
• Ability to analyse complex financial data and communicate clearly to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support the interim and year-end preparation of the department's annual report and accounts.
• Assist in in-year reporting and multi-year budget management for the consolidated Group.
• Collaborate with Strategic Finance, Financial Reporting and policy teams to improve reporting processes and systems.
