Checkout.com in London is seeking an Associate in Strategic Finance to turn financial and commercial data into clear insights, enabling leadership to understand what drives performance. You’ll partner with Data Engineering, Finance and cross-functional stakeholders to build analytics that support fast, data-driven decisions.

You’ll analyse the full P&L, measure ROI, and create executive-ready deliverables such as decks, models and AI-powered apps.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in data-driven analytical roles with a degree in a quantitative or business field.
• Strong analytical thinking and ability to draw insights from numbers.
• Excellent communication skills across levels (verbal and written).
• Commercial curiosity about how merchant, product, and financial dynamics affect performance.
• Proficiency with data tools; Python and SQL are a plus.
• Hands-on with AI to create tooling or workflows.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to validate data and document limitations.

Responsibilities

• Analyse commercial and business performance across the full P&L and measure ROI.
• Translate leadership requests into clear, decision-ready insights.
• Create executive-style deliverables: decks, models, written documents or AI-powered apps.
• Leverage AI tooling to build reusable analytical workflows.
• Drive improvements in reporting, standardisation, and documentation of definitions.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering and Data Science on core financial data models.
• Scope requirements and deliver initiatives end-to-end with Finance and Data partners.
