Job summary

National Grid plc is seeking a Category Buyer to join the Group Indirects Procurement team in the UK. The role focuses on Facilities Management, delivering procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships and achieving value, compliance and performance across a diverse range of contracts and services.

The position is hybrid with a Warwick base, requiring attendance at least twice a week. Applicants should hold a UK driving licence for occasional site travel.

Qualifications

• CIPS Level 4 qualification, working towards Level 5 or 6.
• Experience managing Professional Services contracts and frameworks.
• Knowledge of regulated or public sector procurement environments.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of procurement activities across the Facilities Management category across the UK.
• Manage sourcing events and procurement projects from requirement through to contract award.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
• Support contract and supplier performance management activities.
• Identify opportunities to drive value, efficiency and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, regulatory requirements and governance standards.
