Job summary

The University of Manchester seeks an experienced Estates Partner to join the Estates & Facilities Directorate. You will act as the principal interface between Faculty and Professional Services, translating requirements into robust briefs, managing refurbishment projects and coordinating with contractors and service providers to deliver value and customer satisfaction.

Based on the Oxford Road Campus, this campus-based role involves travel to other sites and requires strong governance, budget

Qualifications

• Relevant professional qualification or degree in estates, construction, building engineering, maintenance, facilities management or related discipline.
• Experience in property, construction, or facilities management within a large customer-focused organisation.
• Proven ability to coordinate projects to quality, budget and timescale requirements.

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted estates partner and main contact for faculties, schools and professional services.
• Provide professional advice on property, refurbishment, maintenance, and infrastructure matters.
• Coordinate refurbishment and adaptation projects in occupied buildings with providers and contractors.
• Oversee relationships with contractors, consultants and internal service providers.
• Gather surveys and assessments to inform planning and prioritisation.
• Monitor budgets to achieve best value within university financial rules.
• Support service level statements, KPIs and reporting for estate management.
