Job summary

The Supply Register is seeking a Lead Estates Manager in London to lead the estates and facilities function across a large, complex education organisation. You will oversee external partners delivering FM services, drive performance against KPIs and SLAs, and steer capital and minor works to improve the estate.

You will guide strategic estate development, manage budgets, and lead teams to ensure compliance, health and safety, and value for money.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in estates or facilities management at a senior operational level.
• Experience managing outsourced or contracted services.
• Budget management and financial planning experience.
• Strong project and change management skills.
• Experience leading and developing teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
• Knowledge of legislation and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery and continuous improvement of estates and facilities services (maintenance, cleaning, security, waste, grounds).
• Manage the Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) contract; monitor KPIs, SLAs and service standards.
• Develop and implement estate development and maintenance plans.
• Support capital and minor works programmes and provide estates advice to senior stakeholders.
• Manage revenue and capital budgets and ensure value for money.
• Lead, develop and motivate estates teams; promote collaboration and service excellence.
• Ensure health and safety compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Promote sustainability and energy efficiency; optimise resources.
• Produce clear reports and analysis to support decision-making.
