Job summary

University of Sheffield is seeking a senior leader to develop and implement strategic estates and facilities programmes. You will drive a high-impact portfolio of commercial activities, working with Catalyst and Project Co. to deliver value for students and staff.

The role requires balancing long-term strategic direction with day-to-day operations, leading large teams, and delivering world-class operational performance within a major research university.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement key University strategies for the expansive accommodation portfolio that supports student recruitment.
• Lead the contract and relationship with Catalyst and the Project Co. joint venture.
• Oversee a portfolio of commercial activities with budgetary and financial performance around £60-£65m revenue.
• Command a team of ~500 multidisciplinary staff within Estates & Facilities and ~150 in UNICUS, including directorship of Operations.
