Job summary

VANRATH seeks an Architectural Lead to drive estate strategy, master planning, and delivery for government projects in Northern Ireland. You will manage in-house technologists, coordinate with external design teams, and ensure value-for-money within budgets and regulatory frameworks.

The role requires a degree and postgraduate qualification in architecture, ARB registration, and 7+ years of post-qualification experience, with strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Degree and Post Graduate in Architecture.
• 7+ years post-qualification experience.
• Current ARB registration is essential.
• Chartered Membership of RIBA is desirable.
• Knowledge of NI Planning Regulations and Building regulations.
• Ability to lead and manage stakeholder engagement and communicate across all levels.
• Experience with estate strategies and master planning of large sites.
• Familiarity with BIM/Level 2 workflows.

Responsibilities

• Establish area and master plans for estate sites and document information needs.
• Collaborate with external Integrated Design teams to develop blueprints and project dossiers.
• Provide architectural input to business plans and business cases.
• Maintain and develop Design Guide and related templates.
• Ensure projects comply with regulatory frameworks and RIBA Plan of Work.
• Support resource planning and budget management across projects.
• Lead stakeholder engagement and promote architectural services across client sectors.
• Assist bids and tenders with architectural input for new business.
• Travel within Northern Ireland as required.
