Job summary

A leading aerospace firm in Yeovil is seeking an Environmental Lead Engineer to develop and oversee Environmental Management strategies. This role involves providing expertise to various BDUK programmes, managing technical interfaces with subcontractors, and mentoring a team. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related fields with significant experience in Environmental Management. This position does not provide visa sponsorship and requires the ability to obtain a BPSS clearance.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in an Environmental Management role or similar.
• Membership in a recognised Environmental Management professional body.
• Ability to develop meaningful metrics to evaluate Environmental Management status.

Responsibilities

• Provide Environmental Management expertise to BDUK programmes.
• Lead, mentor and develop a team of Environmental and Safety Engineers.
• Conduct environmental audits and drive improvements.
