Job summary

Crown Commercial Service is seeking a Senior Enterprise Architect in the United Kingdom to own the architectural governance for products impacting millions. You will translate strategic goals into a resilient, scalable digital estate, guiding investments, managing debt, and ensuring secure, value-driven delivery across the organisation.

You will lead a team of architects, establish guardrails, and collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to shape the future state while balancing

Qualifications

• Experience in enterprise architecture and translating strategy into TSA blueprints.
• Ability to lead governance bodies (e.g., Architecture Review Board) and define architectural principles.
• Proven track record in managing technical debt and aligning investments with business goals.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Vision & Roadmap Delivery: convert plans into TSA blueprints and roadmaps.
• Governance & Assurance: lead ARB reviews and ensure sound architecture before budget.
• Investment & Technical Debt: allocate remediation budget for debt management.
• Senior Leadership Communication: produce executive-level architectural maps for decision-making.
• Blueprinting & Business Alignment: partner with Business Architecture to map goals to tech capabilities.
• Technical Standards & Principles: enforce Secure by Design and Data First policies.
• Strategic Consultancy & Mentorship: provide Architecture-as-a-Service and mentor architects.
• Architectural Steering & High-Level Design: author steer papers and develop high-level designs.
