Dorset Council is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to provide strategic architectural leadership on a six-month contract. You will shape current and future architecture, supporting major transformation and informed decision-making across services, data, digital and technology.

The role requires bridging business strategy with data, applications and technology, developing principles and roadmaps, and collaborating with governance forums. On-site attendance in Dorchester is expected.

• Significant enterprise architecture experience in a large, complex organisation.
• Strong understanding of business architecture, operating models, data, applications and technology.
• Proven track record in large-scale transformation programmes and organisational change.
• Ability to translate strategic ambitions into practical architectural roadmaps.
• Excellent stakeholder management at Executive and Senior Leadership level.
• Experience simplifying complex environments and enabling rationalisation.
• Knowledge of modern digital platforms, cloud, integration and data architecture.
• Clear, pragmatic communication of complex concepts.
• Ability to influence across organisational boundaries without direct authority.
