Qualifications

• Engineering or machine shop background with the ability to interpret machine drawings for pricing.
• Proven track record managing high-value spend and reducing total acquisition costs.
• Deep understanding of metal commodity markets and technical standards.
• Strong negotiation skills to influence vendors on costs and lead times.
• Experience with integrated ERP systems and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Precision Quoting: Price key commodities, based on client enquiries.
• Cost Reduction: Lower total acquisition costs across materials, labour, machining, and finished components.
• Supply Chain Management: Monitor supplier capacity to optimise lead times and ensure agile production.
• Quality & Compliance: Guarantee all quoted components meet precise technical specifications.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Act as the primary link between the supply chain and internal operations.
