Hertford Regional College is seeking a Procurement Manager at Ware Campus to oversee sourcing, supplier negotiations, and contract management. The role ensures access to resources and services to meet operational needs and strategic goals, with emphasis on compliance and ethical standards.

You will lead procurement activities, develop policies, and collaborate with departments to deliver value while maintaining high standards of governance and stakeholder relations.

Qualifications

Educated to GCSE English & Maths (Grade C) or equivalent.
CIPS Level 4 qualification or higher.
Proven experience as a Procurement Manager or in a similar role.
Experience with public contracts and procurement regulations.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement procurement strategies and policies to support College goals.
Identify and evaluate suppliers via market research and analysis for quality and cost.
Negotiate and manage supplier contracts to optimise terms and value.
Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to guide procurement requirements.
