Job summary

amicable is seeking a Negotiation Divorce Specialist in the Greater London area to help couples navigate divorce using the amicable process. You will be trained to handle psychological, legal and process aspects, providing emotional support and non-court solutions.

This role expands with NewRelationships services, including cohabitation and prenuptial planning, offering a broad scope across relationship stages.

Qualifications

• Experience in family law, particularly divorce and financial remedy in England and Wales.
• Experience in negotiation, counselling, coaching, mediation, divorce law, or ADR.
• Ability to inspire confidence, mediate and lead the divorce process.
• Confidence to confront difficult subjects and manage challenging relationship dynamics.
• Sufficient IT competence to communicate effectively in a digital environment.
• Experience with cohabitation and prenuptial agreements (Desirable)

Responsibilities

• Help customers settle their divorce using the amicable process without court proceedings.
• Establish honesty and cooperation, communicating with amicable’s tone of voice (simple, concise, layman’s terms, warmth and ‘can-do’).
• Identify and respect both people’s goals where applicable.
• Be available and responsive to customers and establish clear boundaries about availability and communication methods.
• Complete amicable documentation accurately to ensure accurate information is collected for filing court documents.
• Support customers to negotiate with each other, provide emotional guidance and support.
• Take advice calls with potential customers and proactively manage them to become customers.
• Liaise with amicable’s service providers to ensure a seamless service to our customers.
