Job summary

Swansea Bay University Health Board is seeking a part-time Consultant in General Dentistry to provide strategic leadership and clinical direction for GDS services. The role focuses on delivering high-quality care in the community, working with DPFAs and training units, and coordinating dental care pathways across the health board.

You will lead dental collaboratives, represent dentistry in cluster frameworks, and drive service improvement for patients within the NHS Wales system.

Qualifications

• Essential: Degree level or equivalent and GDC registration.
• Essential: Evidence of continuing development and training.
• Desirable: Masters-level qualification or leadership/management qualification.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership to dental staff and manage GDS services.
• Lead dental collaboratives, DPAs, and care pathway remodelling to improve patient outcomes.
