Polaris Education - ISP Battle School is seeking a Deputy Headteacher to join our Battle, East Sussex site. The post offers a full-time contract, term-time only, with a basic salary up to 46,790.02 per annum. The role leads safeguarding, behaviour, curriculum and inclusion for SEND learners.

The successful candidate will hold QTS with SEND experience, demonstrate leadership across teams, and communicate effectively with pupils, families and staff to uphold our therapeutic education ethos.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with SEND experience.
• Experience delivering a high-quality curriculum for SEND pupils.
• Experience leading and managing teams in a therapeutic environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with staff, pupils and families.
• Proactive and adaptable with ability to develop systems aligned with the school's ethos.
• Previous senior or middle leadership experience.

Responsabilités

• Champion safeguarding and lead safeguarding practice.
• Provide strategic leadership for behaviour and attendance.
• Ensure high-quality teaching with inclusive SEND focus.
• Assess, monitor, report learning progress and achievements.
• Prepare pupils for external examinations.
• Contribute to school policy development and curriculum.
• Collaborate with staff and external professionals.
• Lead and support staff teams to improve outcomes.
