Inspired Education Group is recruiting a Deputy Group Financial Controller in London to lead a team of four qualified accountants and manage consolidated IFRS reporting, statutory reporting and audits across the group. The role collaborates with UK and overseas finance teams and reports to the Group CFO.

The ideal candidate will bring IFRS expertise, senior stakeholder engagement, and a strong track record in process improvements within a fast-growing, international education group.

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant with significant post-qualification experience.
• Experience in a large, complex global Group Finance function.
• Advanced Excel skills with large financial models.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS accounting standards.
• Pro-active self-starter with drive and accountability.
• Ability to liaise across geographically dispersed groups and enforce compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of four qualified accountants.
• Own Group financial reporting, including IFRS consolidated accounts, statutory reporting, audits and accounting policies.
• Oversee Head Office finance operations: management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, payroll, AP and intercompany accounting.
• Partner with senior stakeholders and present financial performance, budgets and forecasts to the Group CFO.
• Drive improvements in financial controls, governance, reporting processes and efficiency.
• Support treasury activities: cash management, banking relationships, forecasting and hedging.
• Lead Group insurance renewals and reporting.
• Support M&A integration, ESG reporting initiatives and ERP governance.
• Provide support across tax, legal, company secretarial and debt/equity raising activities as required.
