Job summary

Cedar in London is seeking a Deal Structuring & Valuation Analyst to support multimillion-pound signings, acquisitions and strategic investment decisions. You will work with senior stakeholders across finance, legal and commercial teams to evaluate opportunities and inform recommendations.

The role focuses on financial modelling, DCF, IRR and market benchmarking, with a strong emphasis on accuracy, attention to detail and clear communication of assumptions to the deal committee.

Qualifications

• Experience in financial analysis, investment banking, corporate development or a similar analytical role.
• Strong financial modelling and valuation skills, with knowledge of DCF and investment appraisal.
• Good understanding of financial statements and business performance.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Strong commercial acumen, attention to detail and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in media, entertainment or related industries would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Build financial models and valuations, including DCF, IRR and payback analysis.
• Evaluate investment opportunities, assessing returns, risks and commercial assumptions.
• Support deal structuring and negotiate economic frameworks alongside legal and commercial stakeholders.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform valuation benchmarks.
• Prepare financial analysis and recommendations for senior deal committee reviews.
• Review post-deal performance against initial investment assumptions to inform future decisions.
• Contribute to improving financial modelling processes, templates and analytical tools.
