Job summary

Cedar Recruitment in London seeks a Deal Structuring & Valuation Analyst for Global Music. You will build financial models and valuations for signings and acquisitions, turning data into recommendations for multimillion-pound investments.

You’ll work with cross-functional teams including creative, legal and operations to assess returns, risks and financial potential. You will structure deal terms, analyze how arrangements affect cash flows, and present findings to deal committees.

Qualifications

• Strong financial modelling and valuation skills.
• Proficient in discounted cash flow analysis (DCF), IRR and payback calculations.
• Ability to interpret P&L, balance sheets and cash flow statements.
• Advanced Excel skills and ability to translate analysis into clear presentations.

Responsibilities

• Build financial models and valuations for potential signings and acquisitions (DCF, IRR, payback).
• Structure deal terms and assess impact of commercial arrangements on returns.
• Research market trends and comparable transactions to challenge assumptions.
• Prepare clear, insightful presentations for deal committees highlighting projections, terms and risks.
• Collaborate with A&R, legal and administration to form a holistic view of each opportunity.
• Review post-deal performance against investment case and apply learnings to future deals.
• Improve modelling templates and analytics processes, exploring automation opportunities.
