Job summary

The University of Salford is seeking a Functional Data Analyst to join the Student Data & Systems team in Academic Registry on a 12-month fixed-term contract to support maternity cover. You will analyse data quality, define business requirements, support system improvements and embed data governance across the University, collaborating with data stewards, process owners and IT.

Experience with Student Information Systems such as Ellucian Banner is desirable, and strong stakeholder engagement

Qualifications

Experience in data analysis and process improvement is essential.
Strong stakeholder engagement and collaborative problem-solving skills.
Experience of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and translating requirements into changes.

Responsibilities

Analyse data, processes and business requirements to identify opportunities for improvement and define effective solutions.
Work with Data Stewards, process leaders and stakeholders to improve data quality, governance, standards and reporting.
Act as a key link between users, Student Data & Systems and IT teams to translate business requirements into effective system changes.
Support system changes, configuration, UAT, defect management and second-line product support.
Facilitate workshops and business improvement activity to deliver sustainable change.
