Job summary

Mastercard seeks an experienced attorney to provide end-to-end strategic support to the global Commercial and SME Solutions business, focusing on SME product development within the CNPF group. The role involves drafting and negotiating contracts, regulatory assessments, and risk analysis, reporting to the VP, Senior Managing Counsel of Global SME Solutions.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance payments solutions, ensure regional compliance, and advise on commercial matters

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer licensed to practice in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced sales environment.
• Strong drafting and negotiating skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts.

Responsibilities

• Act as day-to-day advisor for SME clients by partnering with the business and legal specialists.
• Advise on a wide range of commercial and contractual matters including risk assessment.
• Collaborate with internal subject matter experts on regulatory, privacy and antitrust issues.
• Provide support to business development teams to enable product sales initiatives.
• Structuring, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex customer and vendor agreements.
• Engage on strategic relationships and partnership agreements with digital partners.
• Train and educate clients on processes, risks and regulatory changes across regions.
• Partner with regional compliance leads to ensure product/regulatory compliance.
