Job summary

PPRO, a leading payments platform, seeks a Senior Managing Counsel to lead our Commercial Legal function. You will manage a team of commercial lawyers, partner with senior leadership, and architect scalable legal frameworks to support rapid global growth.

You will advise on high-stakes deals, align with Regulatory and Compliance teams, and drive integration of payment solutions across regions, enabling continued expansion.

Qualifications

• 10+ years PQE in top-tier law firms or in-house fintech/payments.
• Experience in payment processing, acquiring, PSPs, cross-border flows.
• Proven leadership of commercial legal teams.
• Excellent executive verbal and written communication.
• Ability to translate complex legal terms into business guidance.
• Thrives in fast-paced, matrix environments with risk control.
• Strategic vision for scalable legal systems.
• Commercial mindset delivering pragmatic advice.
• Proven authority in leading high-stakes negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach a team of commercial lawyers aligned with business objectives.
• Design workflows, contract playbooks, and templates to scale operations.
• Structure and negotiate complex global commercial agreements with PSPs and partners.
• Collaborate with Product, Revenue, and Operations to launch new payment solutions.
• Ensure compliance alignment with evolving fintech regulations.
