Job summary

International Rescue Committee (IRC) seeks a Consultant for Cost-Evidence-Based Funder work, 20 hours/week over six months, November 2026 to April 2027. The role focuses on growing funder relationships, translating cost-effectiveness research into donor-facing opportunities, and strengthening BUR capabilities.

The consultant will produce a funder strategy, publish articles on credible platforms, and develop multiple funder briefs, with a rate of US$90/hour and a maximum of US$64,800.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of cost-evidence-based funding or fundraising experience.
• Experience securing multi-year grants of $5+ million.
• Strong quantitative skills and ability to defend a cost-effectiveness analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop and drive cost-evidence-based funder strategy with BUR and External Relations.
• Write five public-facing articles (500–2,000 words) for the Effective Altruism Forum or similar.
• Create eight funder briefs outlining criteria, funding opportunities, and engagement paths.
