Job summary

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) seeks a Consultant to advance cost-evidence-based funder engagements within the BUR team. You will translate research into donor-ready materials, build funder relationships, and raise IRC’s thought leadership in cost-effectiveness.

This six-month, 20 hours/week role offers remote work across USA, UK, or Kenya. Deliverables include a cost-evidence-based funder strategy, five public-facing articles, eight funder briefs, a master opportunity list, and BOTEC

Qualifications

• 8+ years of cost-evidence-based funding or fundraising experience.
• Strong quantitative skills and ability to defend a cost-effectiveness analysis.
• Fluent in English; French a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive cost-evidence-based funder strategy with BUR and External Relations.
• Publish five public-facing articles (500–2,000 words) on policy forums.
• Create eight cost-evidence-based funder briefs with funding pathways.
• Produce a master list of high-likelihood funding opportunities and BOTEC notes.
• Lead BUR BOTEC reviews and provide feedback to BUR team.
