Job summary

The Howard Partnership Trust is seeking a Chief Operating Officer to join its Executive Team, driving clarity, grip and long-term thinking across finance, estates, HR services, IT, compliance and organisational development. This pivotal role ensures robust systems and infrastructure to support a large, multi-site educational trust.

You will oversee financial resilience, estates strategy and HR transformation, while guiding governance operations and digital infrastructure to align with teaching,

Qualifications

Senior leadership experience in a multi-site environment.
Experience across at least two of finance, estates, HR, IT, compliance, risk or organisational development.
Ability to lead with integrity and build cross-school partnerships.
Experience with safeguarding and regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities

Lead and integrate core operational functions: finance, estates, HR services, IT, compliance, risk and governance operations.
Strengthen financial resilience, value for money and long-term sustainability.
Oversee estates strategy, compliance and major capital projects.
Lead workforce planning, HR transformation and culture development across the staff body.
Ensure digital infrastructure is modern, secure and aligned with teaching and operations.
