Job summary

The City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council is seeking a Contracts Officer to join our Procurement, Corporate and Strategic Finance Service. This opportunity offers the chance to contribute to high‑profile contracts across our diverse district.

You will work with the Strategic Contracts and Governance Team to support mobilisation, transition and ongoing contract delivery, ensuring value for money and compliant procurement practices across Council services.

Responsibilities

• Assist to manage contractual relationships with providers through mobilisation, transition, delivery and exit of contracts.
• Provide support to ensure contracts include appropriate arrangements, measures and mechanisms to enable delivery of the benefits and value of contracts throughout the contract life.
• Evidence effective delivery, efficient arrangements, wide market intelligence and active supplier assessment.
