Job summary

Poolhall Recruitment is recruiting for an experienced Construction Procurement Manager to join a specialist contractor delivering complex structural steel and construction projects across the UK and Europe. This is a key role responsible for managing procurement, supply chain coordination, subcontractor engagement, and logistics to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Location in Slough with projects across London and the Midlands.

Qualifications

• Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent in Construction/Engineering.
• Experience in construction procurement, pre-construction, supply chain or commercial management.
• Strong understanding of structural steel, manufacturing, modular construction environments.
• Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier and subcontractor procurement from tender through to contract award.
• Manage supply chain activities across multiple live projects.
• Coordinate transport, deliveries, logistics, and customs requirements.
• Review technical specifications, materials, and quality standards.
• Liaise with project, commercial, and site teams to support successful project delivery.
• Check measurements, valuations, and invoices against project requirements.
• Obtain and manage quotations for variations and additional works.
