Job summary

Regional Recruitment are recruiting for a Procurement Manager to join a well-established construction business in the Midlands. This permanent, full-time role focuses on strategic procurement across multiple projects to secure materials, plant, subcontractors, and services at best value.

Essential experience includes construction procurement, supplier negotiations, and knowledge of NEC/JCT contracts. A Full UK Driving Licence and proficiency in MS Office are required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Procurement Manager role within Construction.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, subcontract procurement, and supply chain management.
• Excellent negotiation and commercial management skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies that support business objectives and project requirements.
• Source, negotiate, and secure competitive agreements with suppliers, subcontractors, and service providers.
• Manage tendering and quotation processes for materials, plant, and subcontract packages.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders.
• Monitor supplier performance, quality, and delivery to ensure contractual obligations are met.
• Work closely with Contracts Managers, Quantity Surveyors, and Project Managers to forecast procurement requirements.
• Ensure materials and services are procured in line with project programmes and budgets.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements across the supply chain.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, reports, and purchasing documentation.
• Manage supply chain risks and develop contingency plans where necessary.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and contractual requirements.
• Support the commercial team with budget management and cost reporting.
• Stay informed of market trends, material shortages, and pricing fluctuations within the construction sector.
• Undertake any other ad-hoc duties as directed by the company.
