Job summary

Cambridge Aerospace is seeking a Commercial & Governance Manager to connect Procurement with Finance, Legal and the wider business. You will blend contracting excellence with financial insight to support sound purchasing decisions and robust controls across sites.

You will lead governance across sites and help shape a centralised or hybrid model as the company grows, with some travel to support supplier engagements.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in commercial management, procurement, or contract management.
• Experience working with Finance on budgets, forecasts and cost reporting.
• Hands-on experience reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements.
• Experience delivering work across Procurement, Finance, Legal and technical teams.
• Experience in a regulated or aerospace/defence environment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Act as the commercial link between Procurement and Finance, aligning budgets and supplier commitments.
• Assess proposals, cost breakdowns and total cost of ownership; develop clear commercial recommendations.
• Lead supplier negotiations on pricing, terms, milestones and change control within authorities.
• Improve visibility of committed spend and forecast expenditure with Finance.
• Translate requirements into sourcing strategies and contractual commitments across sites.
