Job summary

1st Cloud Accountants in Sunderland is seeking a Client Manager (Accountancy Practice). This full‑time, on‑site role manages a diverse client portfolio, ensuring accounts, tax returns and statutory filings are prepared accurately and delivered on time.

You will oversee day‑to‑day bookkeeping, payroll, VAT and CIS submissions, coordinate with internal teams to deliver outsourcing services, and advise clients on accounting and business matters while supporting business development.

Qualifications

• Experience preparing accounts for sole traders, limited companies, partnerships, charities, and other entities.
• Proficiency with cloud-based and desktop accounting software (Sage, QuickBooks, Xero, Kashflow, FreeAgent).
• Strong client management and relationship-building skills with clear business communication.
• Ability to meet multiple client deadlines with accuracy and high service standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day client work including bookkeeping, payroll, VAT, and CIS submissions.
• Review work to ensure accounts, tax returns, and filings are accurate and timely.
• Coordinate with internal teams to deliver comprehensive outsourcing services.
• Advise clients on accounting, tax, and business matters; identify efficiency improvements and opportunities for cross-selling.
