Job summary

KBS Maritime seeks a Strategic Projects Manager (Structural & Civil) to lead a portfolio of strategic projects at Portsmouth Naval Base, shaping long-term asset management and investment plans. You will manage feasibility, surveys, user requirements, and early design stages while coordinating with MOD stakeholders and partners.

The role requires strong governance, budget oversight, multidisciplinary coordination, and the ability to translate complex engineering needs into deliverable programmes.

Qualifications

• Experience in project and programme management within construction, engineering or infrastructure sectors.
• Sound understanding of civil and structural engineering principles with awareness of related disciplines.
• Ability to develop clear project briefs, scopes of work and tender documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic projects from inception through to completion, including feasibility studies, surveys, user requirements and RIBA Stages 0-2.
• Collaborate with MOD stakeholders, asset owners and project teams to define scopes and requirements.
• Manage full tender process from documentation to supplier appointment and contract delivery.
