Job summary

KBS Maritime is seeking a Temporary Works Manager at HM Naval Base Portsmouth. You will lead governance, coordination and assurance of all Temporary Works activities, ensuring safe, compliant delivery by KBS Maritime and partnering contractors.

Role requires extensive Temporary Works management experience, knowledge of CDM 2015, BS5975, and a proven safety leadership track record across infrastructure or naval environments.

Qualifications

• Degree/HNC/HND or equivalent industry experience in civil/structural engineering.
• Qualified as Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) or equivalent.
• SMSTS qualification and safe working practices.
• Strong understanding of CDM 2015, BS5975 and Temporary Works governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Temporary Works function across Portsmouth Naval Base.
• Ensure Temporary Works are planned, managed and executed safely and compliantly.
• Maintain Temporary Works Register and provide expert oversight across projects.
• Identify, categorize, design, check, authorize, inspect and dismantle Temporary Works.
• Coordinate with operations, design, SHE, projects, and contractors to maintain standards.
