Job summary

Wigan Council is seeking a Childcare Development and Sufficiency Officer to ensure high‑quality childcare and school‑aged provision across the borough. You will work with schools, childminders, nurseries and other providers, analysing data and supporting planning and funding to grow breakfast clubs, after‑school and holiday provision.

The role requires proactive, stakeholder‑oriented work, with strong communication and problem‑solving skills.

Qualifications

• Experience working with schools, childcare providers or community organisations.
