Job summary

Signet Recruitment and Retention in Reading, United Kingdom, is supporting a client to scale its Procurement function. You will own your category end to end, from strategy and market insight through to supplier performance and value delivery, in a hybrid role based in Berkshire with occasional site visits.

You will develop and deliver full category strategies, engage with stakeholders, negotiate terms up to £100m, and build a sourcing pipeline.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in complex supply chain environments
• Track record of continuous improvement and delivering stretching targets
• Good understanding of pre- and post-deal processes and how information creates value
• Experience with key suppliers and supplier negotiations up to £100m
• Strong data analysis skills and risk management

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver full category strategies across short, medium and long-term horizons.
• Engage with internal stakeholders to shape category approach, spend and supplier choices.
• Establish yourself as the go-to Procurement and Commercial authority for your category.
• Lead category projects and sourcing events in line with the required approach.
• Negotiate all commercial and contractual terms with suppliers, assessing risk and resilience.
• Build and prioritise a sourcing pipeline as part of category development.
