Job summary

iCOMAT is seeking a Buyer / Planner to own material flow across Gloucester and Swindon, from customer order to finished part. You will buy, plan, schedule and own delivery commitments, ensuring the line has what it needs when it needs it.

You can be based at either site and will split time between both. The role demands hands-on procurement in a manufacturing environment, strong ERP/MRP skills, and a willingness to travel between sites in the UK.

Qualifications

• Proven procurement and supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong working knowledge of ERP / MRP systems. Hands on, not theoretical.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and production planning.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, and real comfort with data.
• The ability to travel regularly between Gloucester and Swindon.

Responsibilities

• Demand, capacity and scheduling across two sites.
• Enter customer orders, confirm capacity and raise when needed.
• Own the production schedule for Gloucester and Swindon.
• Monitor capacity and flag where extra capacity is needed.
• Raise material purchase orders and manage supplier delivery.
• Evaluate demand across both sites to optimise pricing and volume.
• Maintain stock levels and manage vendor relationships.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Stores, Quality, Finance and Business Development.
