Job summary
SBD Apparel Ltd is seeking an experienced Strategic Buyer to lead sourcing of materials and components for our technical apparel and strength equipment lines. The role involves developing global supplier networks, negotiating terms and managing supplier performance to protect quality and cost targets.
Working closely with Manufacturing, Design and Quality, you will support NPDI, BOM interpretation, and transitioning samples to production, while driving continuous improvement and risk management
Qualifications
- Proven experience as Buyer/Strategic Buyer in manufacturing.
- Strong negotiation skills on pricing, MOQs, lead times and terms.
- Ability to interpret BOMs, technical packs and material specifications.
Responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate and develop suppliers across global markets.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships for collaboration and improvement.
- Source materials and components at best price without compromising quality.
- Coordinate material procurement to support production schedules and risk management.
- Support NPDI/NPI and pre-production sampling with suppliers.
