Job summary

Siemens Energy in Newcastle upon Tyne is seeking an experienced procurement professional to manage cost-effective material and service supply. You will support Order Winning, Operations, Project Management, Engineering and Finance with excellent procurement services while upholding safety and quality standards.

You will drive cost savings, lead supplier negotiations, promote digitalization, and build strategic supplier relationships across international sourcing and project environments.

Qualifications

• University degree in supply chain, business or a related field.
• Long-term relevant professional experience in procurement with engineered products or service provision in a project environment;
• Experience in service or project business and good understanding of contract law.
• Advanced analytical, negotiation, stakeholder management and communication skills; fluent English and ideally German.

Responsibilities

• Drive cost savings and supplier performance aligned with Grid Technology goals.
• Lead supplier negotiations and contract management ensuring performance and safety.
• Promote digitalization and AI-driven procurement efficiency.
• Develop supplier relationships and optimize performance through scorecards.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, legal and finance.
• Identify supply chain risks and define BU-specific strategies.
