Job summary

Morson Group is seeking a Bid Manager to lead the full bid lifecycle from qualification to award for a Derby-based role with UK travel. You will manage the Commercial Bids Executive, develop competitive solutions, and ensure high-quality submissions across the transport and rail sectors.

You will contribute to bid strategy, pricing, and content, while collaborating with Operations, Finance and Legal. This is a fast-paced, high-responsibility position within a growing team.

Qualifications

• Proven track record as a Bid Manager across full bid lifecycle.
• Experience in solution design and competitive pricing scenarios.
• Familiarity with multi-stakeholder environments in transport/logistics sectors.

Responsibilities

• Lead full bid lifecycle from qualification through to submission and award.
• Develop and present costed solutions aligned to client briefs.
• Manage portal activity, governance and approvals for bids.
• Line manage Commercial Bids Executive and mentor junior staff.
• Maintain a library of reusable bid content and case studies.
• Coordinate cross-functional input from Operations, Finance, Legal and HR.
• Represent the subsidiary in client interactions during live bids.
