Job summary

Birmingham City Council is recruiting a Reporting and Intelligence Lead to establish and grow the reporting, BI and data governance across Commercial and Procurement Services.

You will lead a high-performing team, translate complex commercial data into strategic insight for senior leaders, and drive a culture of data-driven decision-making with a strong focus on value for money and outcomes for Birmingham.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading business intelligence, performance reporting or data analytics functions within a complex organisation.
• Strong ability to analyse large datasets to generate strategic insight and influence executives.
• Experience developing reporting frameworks and dashboards for senior leadership and governance boards.
• Understanding of data governance and information standards to ensure reliable reporting.

• Leading and developing a high-performing reporting and intelligence team.
• Setting the strategic direction for performance reporting within Commercial and Procurement Services.
• Delivering high-quality analysis and BI to provide insights on performance, risks and opportunities.
