Job summary

Birmingham City Council is seeking a Reporting and Intelligence Lead to oversee reporting, BI and performance across Commercial and Procurement Services. You will transform complex data into strategic insight to guide senior decision-makers and embed a culture of data-driven accountability.

The role leads a team, sets the framework for performance reporting and ensures data quality and governance across the council's commercial data.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading BI, performance reporting or data analytics.
• Experience analysing large datasets to inform executive decisions.
• Experience developing reporting frameworks and dashboards for senior leadership.
• Understanding of data governance and data quality standards.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Strong leadership and team development.
• Qualification in BI/Analytics or equivalent experience.

• Provide strategic leadership across reporting, BI and performance.
• Lead and develop a high-performing reporting and intelligence team.
• Set direction for reporting framework aligned with priorities.
