Job summary

Southern Water in Sussex invites applications for a Bathing Water Partnership Manager. The role focuses on establishing excellent partnerships with local councils, regulators, community groups and customers to mitigate bathing water quality impacts.

You will influence and lead action through open communication. The position sits in the Environment & Innovation team, part of a £7.8bn investment plan 2025-30, and requires a proactive, collaborative approach across the business to deliver

Qualifications

• Passion to deliver results and protect water quality.
• Strong knowledge of bathing water regulations and considerations.
• Excellent understanding of Local Authorities and related entities.
• Excellent relationship management with internal and external stakeholders.
• Confidence speaking to media is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a programme of partnership delivery, engagement and action, including steering group meetings and community events.
• Identify and pursue opportunities to co-deliver projects with partners.
• Develop strategic partnership/engagement plans aligned with company strategy.
• Manage reactive stakeholder engagement and bathing water improvement plans.
• Provide progress updates to senior internal and external stakeholders.
