Job summary

Jobtailor is advertising a senior property leadership role for a UK council, responsible for strategic management of the Council's property portfolio and driving asset performance to support priorities and regeneration goals.

You will lead acquisitions, disposals, valuations, estate management and income generation, providing expert advice to Members and senior officers while managing a professional team to deliver high-quality services.

Qualifications

• Experienced property professional with strong strategic, commercial and leadership skills.
• Proven track record in corporate asset management, estate management, property disposals and acquisitions, valuations and income generation.
• Relevant professional property qualification and RICS membership.

Requirements

• Experienced property professional with strong strategic, commercial and leadership skills


• Proven track record in corporate asset management, estate management, property disposals and acquisitions, valuations and income generation


• Relevant professional property qualification


• Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS)


• Substantial experience managing diverse property portfolios


• Experience leading high-performing teams


• Thorough understanding of asset management, property law and local government property practices


• Ability to influence senior stakeholders, elected Members and external partners


• Commercially minded, politically aware and an excellent negotiator


• Strong leadership skills


• DBS check may be required for positions involving access to children, young people or vulnerable groups


• Basic Disclosure Scotland check may be required for roles involving access to government databases, information obtained directly from them or a GCSX account
