Job summary

Plexal is seeking an Advanced Communications Technology Technical Consultant to help clients navigate the evolving communications landscape and de-risk potential investments.

Working across telecoms, RF, satellite and secure communications, you will translate complex findings into actionable recommendations and help shape innovation programmes for diverse clients. This role demands collaboration with cross‑functional teams and clear engagement with senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant experience.
• Experience translating complex tech into clear client guidance.
• Strong analytical and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Shape insights about the future of advanced communications and related emerging tech sectors.
• Design and deliver research and consulting activity for clients, including scoping questions and presenting findings.
• Create deliverables that help clients make strategic decisions on tech strategy.
• Monitor technology trends, market needs and drivers across telecoms, RF, SAT, and secure comms.
• Assess propositions, interrogate vendor claims and evaluate risks and trade-offs.
• Engage with startups, corporates and public-sector stakeholders to drive engagement.
• Support innovation programme design, pilots and technology evaluation.
• Manage inputs across multiple workstreams with high delivery standards.
• Maintain stakeholder communication and collaborative interactions with external partners.
• Support business development through public-sector bids and client proposals.
