Job summary

Sumer Group’s Moore Thompson division in Peterborough seeks an ambitious Accounts Manager to lead a portfolio of clients with accounting, tax and advisory support.

You'll manage workflow, develop client relationships, understand goals, mentor junior staff and ensure timely delivery of annual accounts and tax returns. ACA/ACCA or equivalent required; strong knowledge of accounting principles essential.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA or equivalent qualification required.
• Solid experience in a similar role within an accountancy practice.

Responsibilities

• Workflow management and staff allocations.
• Build strong relationships with a diverse portfolio of clients.
• Understand client goals and challenges, proactively offering solutions that add value.
• Organise and attend client meetings to understand needs.
• Oversee client accounts, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely delivery of services including annual accounts, tax returns and advisory projects.
• Support and mentor junior team colleagues, reviewing work.
