Job summary

The Post at Stir invites applications for a Senior Academic Governance Officer within Academic Registry and the Academic Quality and Governance team. The role focuses on policy, regulation, and governance committees, providing operational input and coordinating governance activities across the University.

The post-holder will lead on administration, projects and developments within governance, supporting the Academic Registrar and collaborating with Faculties, Schools and Professional Services

Responsibilities

• Ongoing proactive review, updating and development of academic policy and regulation to remain current and robust.
• Manage record keeping for changes to academic policy and regulations with version control and timetables.
• Communicate policy and regulation updates publicly or within the University to staff and students for awareness.
• Develop and maintain information resources and guidance related to academic governance on the University website.
• Coordinate the Academic Registry website presence and ensure clear structure and updated content.
• Deliver committee management and administration for committees related to academic quality and governance.
• Contribute to curriculum management and development arrangements and operations.
• Support preparation for and management of reviews by the QAA and other bodies.
